Many Slimming World members tell us that while they’re partial to a Free Food packed sandwich at lunchtime, they’d rather enjoy their Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice at another time of the day – which is absolutely fine by us!So to help you get that sandwich taste without having to tuck into your Syns, here’s a selection of super lunchtime suggestions.Lettuce cupsCos and romaine lettuce leaves are brilliant cups for your favourite sandwich fillings. Pile them high and pop them in your mouth – the possibilities are endless!Cooked chicken and salsa made with chopped onions, chilli, coriander and lime juiceTuna (canned in brine or spring water) with sweetcorn and 1 tbsp extra light mayo (1 Syn)Chinese chicken and lettuce wrapsFat free cottage cheese and chives mixed with 30g cheddar cheese (Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice) and spring onionsChilli con carne – perfect if you’ve got leftovers from the night before!Omelette wrapsTo keep these Free or low-Syn, a thinly cooked omelette takes the place of a high-Syn tortilla (an average wrap is 9 Syns!).To make the omelette lightly beat 1 egg in a large measuring jug and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
